Everyone and his dog tells us that article marketing works. It does! However, even though most people trying to get ahead in SEO knows this to be true, most of them don’t utilise it, or they don’t do enough of it. Let’s face it, article marketing is free, or at least it can be. But unfortunately like most things free, it seems to have become cheapened in the minds of many people.
SEO is all about results after all. Results usually also mean the bottom line in profits, and if article marketing can deliver it should stand head and shoulders above all the other techniques. Mark Thompson certainly thinks so:

Do you use the robots.txt file to block certain bots? Many do and of course it is a good practice. The problems that generally arise stem from the fact that not everyone understands how to use the robots.txt file. They set it up in the way that they “think” is right, but if they get it wrong, it can seriously harm the prospects of the web site. Take some advice from the SEOmozBlog and get it right!

Are you keeping up with the Internet? Erick Schonfeld at TechCrunch in his article entitled “Jump Into The Stream” (http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/05/17/jump-into-the-stream/) claims “the Internet is shifting before our eyes.”
It’s true that the Internet has never really stood still. What is good and new today can be old hat tomorrow, but is there really a major paradigm shift underway on the Internet?

You’ve heard the expression, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” Marketing Pilgrim are wondering this week why the search engines seem to be set on fixing that which ain’t broken. They say, and rightly too, that the old tried and tested simplicity of the search engines works and works really well. Why then are the same search engines trying to become more sexy, or whatever it is they seem to be trying? Marketing Pilgrim have a good point:
