Managing Director: Dave Carruthers
Nick Names: DC
Dave Carruthers, the Managing Director and Founder of One Result has a dynamic and thorough understanding of Website Development, Search Engine Optimisation, Social Media Marketing and Pay Per Click. Dave has mastered online marketing for almost a decade and has generated incredible return on investment for our vast array of online clients including Dating Agencies, Financial, Property and Online Retailers. Dave was best known for his achievements as Development Director with ‘The Best Of’. Dave could be considered as a ‘Polymath’ in all elements of the internet, possessing amazing corporate knowledge and insight, Dave instinctively what will work and what will bring the greatest successes for our clients.
In his spare time Dave plays for Claverdon Rugby Club, was recently Married to the lovely Victoria and spent his honeymoon in South Africa where he contracted African Swamp Fever (a dodgy cough) and although he is an avid bungee jumper, opted out at the last minute from leaping from the highest bridge in Africa, however equally as gutsy, whilst on safari he did call the office from his mobile phone for a catch up at the top of a hill (the only place where he could get a signal) with a lion in close proximately, hence to say, it was a very quick catch up.

Creative Director: Steve Hemmings
Nick Names: Steve (the Kraken) Hemmings
Steve a Director with One Result, heads up the Creative Team at One Result being responsible for all creative output from the Agency. Cutting his teeth with the leading Birmingham based Agencies; Steve brings incredible knowledge and creativity to the team and executes incredible leadership and drive. With over 15 years commercial experience Steve has a great eye for detail and produces very exciting websites, brands and collateral – you will never get a templated website from Steve, or something that looks like its rolled out of his Mac on a conveyor belt, Steve’s work is always original, inspiring and effective.
In his spare time, Steve is a regular at the Villa, jets off for weekends in the Italian Riviera and also loves cooking Michelin star cuisine (with the aid of his Jamie Oliver ‘Great Meals in 20 minutes App’)

Account Director: Chris Kent
Nick Names: CK, Captain Kent
Chris Kent has over 20 years of experience working in Agency and Client-side positions. Chris has extensive experience in Marcoms having managed strategic and logistical marketing for many well known brands. Chris also has almost ten years experience of SEO strategy and has helped businesses maximise all elements of online presence including awareness and revenue streams. If you are looking for any of our services, or would like a chat about how we could really make a difference to your business, then Chris will be happy to come and see you and talk through your requirements.
In Chris’s spare time he makes his own music (which he loves, but we are still debating whether its our cup of tea or not), he regularly heads off to the cinema, loves eating out and regularly takes to the sky around Warwickshire and the West Midlands in an R22 or R44 helicopter. Chris says ‘He is happy taking any current or future Client for a scenic tour of Warwickshire or the West Midlands’.

Lead Developer: Mark Ackroyd
Nick Names: Mark (the Destroyer) Ackroyd
Mark is a highly experienced developer and project manager. Mark started writing software when he was 8 years old writing simple games for his ZX81 and Spectrum. Mark worked for CompuServe and ICL during the dot com boom era, and has worked on some very high profile sites and applications. Mark’s enthusiasm and drive for technical excellence can be clearly seen on any project he works on. Mark is a native of the West Country and a big fan of Open Source, Agile Software Development methodology, Bristol City and his iPhone. Mark has an encyclopedic knowledge of all programming disciplines has worked on some of the ground breaking websites appreciated by millions of visitors today. He loves a challenge and develops amazing functional websites and apps.
In Marks spare time he can regularly be found aboard the Star Ship Enterprise and loves all things Sci-Fi – if anyone spots a UFO above Birmingham, that will be Mark being dropped off for his 8am start at work, intergalactic battles or not, nothing deters Mark from getting started on time.
